Earlier, a friend in Facebook posted "Earthquake" in her status. She works and lives in Metro Manila and I immediately looked up "earthquake makati city march 21, 2011" via google. I went to the Inquirer's website, and it said that the epicenter of the 5.7 quake was in Occidental Mindoro. It generated a magnitude 3 quake in Makati City, similar to the 3.3 magnitude quake felt in the southern part of the Philippines last March 17. The Inquirer said that a magnitude 4 earthquake will shake the earth as if a large truck has passed by.
Inquirer.net further reported that although there is no reason for a tsunami alert, everyone must still be prepared. There were no damages or injuries during the earthquake yesterday.
